Explore your Museum continues July 18 at RMEO

EMC Events - On Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m., throughout the month of July, the Railway Museum is opening its gates and inviting visitors to 'Explore your Museum' - a special program to give the public a unique look at our collections.

Continuing on July 18, the museum will provide a guided behind-the-scenes tour featuring the second floor of the station, our artifact storage area, the Section House and a handcar tour of the 'north end'. Tour begins at 6:30 p.m.

This is an opportunity to see the museum at one of the most beautiful and peaceful times of day. Bring the family down for the special tour or just explore the site on your own. All our rolling will be open as usual and the handcar will be up and running for rides.

Admission is by donation.

July 25 will the last week of the program. Join a retired trainman who will provide a guided tour of our cabooses and recount some great stories about life on a caboose.

'Explore your Museum' is a special program offered by the museum as part of the Canadian Northern Railway Station 100th anniversary celebrations.
